LOOSEN UP AND LAUGH A LITTLE!

“A merry heart does good like medicine…” (Proverbs 17:22). Good humor is medicinal. I enjoy a good joke any day. A merry heart sure ventilates the brain. Laugh this off with me and enjoy your day. Three tortoises, Mick, Tom and Roy, decided to go on a picnic. Mick packs the picnic basket with drinks and sandwiches. The trouble is the picnic site is ten miles away so it takes them ten days to get there.

They get there and Mick unpacks the food and drinks and says, “Ok, Roy, give me the bottle opener”. “I didn’t bring it,” replied Roy. “I thought you packed it.” Mick gets worried, so he turns to Tom and says, “Did you by any chance bring the bottle opener?” Naturally Tom didn’t bring it. So they’re stuck ten miles from home without a bottle opener.

Mick and Tom beg Roy to go back for it. But he refuses as he says they will eat up all the sandwiches. After two hours and after they have sworn on their tortoises’ lives that they will not eat the sandwiches, he finally agrees. So, Roy sets off down the road. 20 days had passed and still he isn’t back and Mick and Tom are starving, but a promise is a promise.

Another 5 days and still he isn’t back, but a promise is a promise. Finally they can’t take it any longer so they take out a sandwich each and just as they are about to eat it, Roy pops up from behind a rock and shouts: “I KNEW IT…I’M NOT GOING!”
